Origin and History
The story of our Kräutermax traditional drugstore dates back to the 19th century when Carl Mayrhofer founded the Mariendrogerie on Bahnhofsstraße in 1890. In 1928, his son Johann Mayrhofer took over the business, preserving and continuing its handed-down knowledge.
On April 1, 1959, Max Neuhofer stepped into his predecessor's shoes and launched Kräutermax. Since 2005, Christoph Zauner, grandson of Max Neuhofer, has been leading the family business. Today, Kräutermax exclusively produces and distributes products based on its own recipes. The fusion of ancient herbal wisdom with modern, researched knowledge provides Kräutermax salves, oils, dietary supplements, and natural cosmetics with maximum herbal power.
